Dr. Funmi Adebo

Nutrition Specialist | Educator | Advocate for Low-Income Families

Dr. Funmi Adebo

Dr. Phillipa "Funmi Adebo is a highly accomplished nutrition expert and educator, with a career rooted in her passion for serving low-income communities. Growing up in a family of 12 in a developing country, she has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized populations. Dr. Adebo has made significant contributions in both education and public health over her extensive career. Education & Career: Assistant Professor at Huston-Tillotson University, a Historically Black University (HBU), where she taught for 6 years. Worked with the WIC Nutrition Education Program under the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) for 28.5 years, initially serving as a nutritionist for 3.5 years and later taking on leadership roles as Supervisor, Area Coordinator, and Program Manager for 25 years. Advocacy & Impact: Dr. Adebo’s career has focused on empowering low-income women, infants, and children, providing nutrition education and essential support through her work with the WIC program. Her commitment to community welfare and educational leadership reflects her enduring dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of underprivileged families. Dr. Funmi Adebo provides medical and clinical expertise, offering guidance on health-related initiatives at HBH RTC. Her focus on child health and wellness ensures that every child receives comprehensive care.

Nkechi Eke

As a Registered Nurse with years of experience in healthcare management, Nkechi Eke brings critical insights into the health and well-being of children at HBH RTC. Her expertise ensures that we maintain the highest standards of medical care.

Dr. Tamunosis Legg Jack

As a medical doctor with a commitment to community health, Dr. Tamunosis Jack advises the board on health policies and practices that promote the well-being of every child in our care.

Charles Jacob Ukaegbu

Charles Ukaegbu contributes his extensive experience in social work and child welfare, advocating for programs that protect and empower vulnerable children. Mr. Ukaegbu is the secretary of the Catherine Ogbonna Memorial Healthcare Foundation. He is a graduate of the University of Texas-Austin and Our Lady of the Lake University at San Antonio, Texas with degrees in Mass Communication and Social Work. He is a licensed Master Social Worker with 25 years of combined work experience in clinical and administrative health care delivery. He was the owner and administrator of Alamo Home Healthcare, Inc. and currently provides medical social work services to area healthcare providers.

Dr. Bethel Nwanebu is a distinguished leader with over 25 years of experience in ministry and public administration. He serves as the Senior Pastor of the Assemblies of God Church in Ikenegbu, Owerri, Nigeria, and holds the role of Assistant District Superintendent in the Owerri East District. His impactful leadership extends to his position as a State District Leader in Owerri with the Assemblies of God Nigeria. Academic Credentials: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), University of Calabar Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA), University of Calabar Master’s Degree in Religion, Imo State University Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration, University of Calabar Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Theology Diploma in Theology Ministry and Leadership: Dr. Nwanebu is renowned for his dynamic ministry, having founded the "Send Down Thy Glory" International Music Crusade and organized a monthly spiritual antenatal program supporting expectant mothers. His influence as a public and motivational speaker spans continents, inspiring individuals in Africa, North and South America, Europe, and Asia. His ability to touch lives and inspire transformation is well-known globally, making him a trusted spiritual leader and mentor.

Dr. David Smith is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in church ministry, community transformation, and family advocacy. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the Austin Baptist Association since March 2000, Dr. Smith oversees approximately 240 churches in Central Texas, fostering collaboration and support for local congregations. Career Highlights: Pastor, First Baptist Church, Dripping Springs, TX (1994–2000): Led the congregation and championed community transformation initiatives. Associate Pastor of Youth, Education, and Activities, First Baptist Church, Eastman, GA (1989–1994): Focused on youth engagement and educational leadership. Associate Pastor of Youth and Education, Oak Knoll Baptist Church, Haltom City, TX (1987–1989): Led youth and educational programs. Dr. Smith also serves as a Volunteer Chaplain for the Austin Police Department, furthering his commitment to supporting local communities through service and spiritual guidance.

Rocky Breon is a leading real estate professional in Austin, Texas, with a portfolio of hundreds of properties and over 40 years of experience in construction, mortgage lending, and property management. Known for her impeccable communication skills and client-centered approach, she has established herself as a trusted figure in the Austin real estate market. Career & Expertise: Real Estate Success: With decades of experience, Rocky excels at listening to her clients’ needs and guiding them through the complexities of the real estate market. Her deep knowledge and integrity-driven approach ensure her clients make informed, educated decisions that align with their goals. Diverse Experience: Beyond real estate, Rocky has a combined 40-year background in construction and has also served as a silent partner in a mortgage lending company, bringing a holistic understanding of the property market from multiple perspectives. Foster Parent & Advocate: As a foster parent of five children, Rocky has displayed an unwavering commitment to helping children thrive. Her experience as a caregiver aligns with her passion for supporting families and ensuring children have safe and nurturing homes. Board Member: Rocky serves on the board of Apostolic Bridge Builders, Inc., where she leverages her business acumen and strong leadership to make a meaningful impact on the community. She is admired for her ability to "make things happen" through integrity, respect, and a positive outlook. With a background in non-profit leadership and community outreach, Rocky Breon plays a vital role in ensuring that Apostolic Bridge Builders, Inc., continues to provide life-changing services to those in need.

Lindsay Mitchell

Lindsay Mitchell is dedicated to advancing the mission of Apostolic Bridge Builders through her expertise in fundraising and development. His work ensures that the organization remains financially stable while expanding its reach. At Hope Bridge Home Residential Treatment Center, our team works collaboratively to create a safe, therapeutic environment for children who need it most. Each team member, from direct caregivers to board members, plays an essential role in making HBH RTC a place of healing, growth, and hope.
